That'd just be incredibly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ beyond reason. I think the current situation is already a bit beyond reason. ![]() I kinda expected Nyotengu to be a pre-order bonus but even so I'm still disappointed about the confirmation (probably especially because I like playing her). I don't think characters should be DLC like this because it affects the overall balance of the game. I don't even play Phase 4 (in fact I'd prefer that she wasn't in the game altogether xP) but even I think that it's really bad to lock her behind a paywall. Why should Phase 4 mains have any other reason to pay a $20 premium over other players just to get access to their main? Conversely, why should anyone interested in the game have to pay a $20 premium to be able to practice against Phase 4? It's just utter bad practice. I think it's sad that these things become so commonplace that they're no longer seen as an issue by the mainstream because there are "worse" practices happening in the game industry so what was seen as abhorrent practice yesterday is seen as normal today. In a way, we don't have it "as bad" here on PC as if you purchase within the launch period, i.e. even for a certain time post launch, you get access to Nyotengu (and the "exclusive" Kasumi outfit). However, that doesn't really mitigate the fact that Xbox One gets an exclusive outfit for Hayabusa that no other platform gets. PS4 gets an exclusive theme, I think that's fair as it doesn't affect the game per-say. Like if each platform got an exclusive theme, that's fair imo. It's when they gate off game content to specific platforms or behind paywalls which bothers me. It's really disheartening because with the release of that trailer my excitement levels were at the highest they've been yet. ![]() There were so many interesting things to come out of it.
